Young Achievers Award to Be Presented at the Ball
Emily T. Kuo is a born and bred Houstonian and a 1993 recipient of the CPC Scholarship Award. The only child of a cancer researcher and a physician who emigrated from Taiwan to Texas, Emily was able, with the aid of the CPC Scholarship, to attend Harvard University, where she graduated in 1997 with an honors degree in History and Science. Following college, Emily remained in Cambridge, Massachusetts for three more years to study law at Harvard Law School. Now she is Associate Counsel at Nabors Industries Ltd., one of the world's largest land and offshore drilling and related services companies.

Emily is this year's president of the Asian American Bar Association of Houston. The AABA of Houston represents the interests of over 500 attorneys in the Greater Houston area, with settings ranging from solo practices to large firms, corporations, legal services organizations, non-profit organizations, law schools, and governmental agencies.
Mr. Edward R. Allen, III, partner with Eagle Global Advisors and Chairman of the Asia House Foundation is the featured Keynote Speaker.
